We had to attach some additional brackets so that it is actually fixed to the wall without the possibility of falling on us or moving when touched. If we using the piece as wall art the hardware it came with would have been fineThe wood is rough when you touch it. This is a bit of a problem because while sleeping it is frequently touched. I'm afraid we will get a splinter but my husbands says its not rough enough for that.
