I bought this bed for my children’s room to share+ a friend to sleep over. Fantastic idea! There were some pros and cons but for the price I’m not entirely complaining.The bed is a bit squeaky, but so are all the metal bunk beds I’ve ever owned. The bottom bunks sit directly on the floor, however this can be fixed with a piece of flat wood if someone were worried about that.Unfortunately for us, the slide had to be adjusted and the steps had to be moved.In its original position (as semi drawn) I can not close the door to my kids’ room. To fix this problem I had to cut out a small portion of the bed and cap the metal pieces with some duct tape.The bottom half of the bed is big enough to just barely tightly squeeze in a 3 story Barbie doll house underneath.I plan to add some wood to make it a hide out loft/reading loft as well, which may help the sound some.Some of the screws were sketchy, some threads fell out here and there- lucky my husband is a mechanic and had plenty on hand to fix these issues.Over all I’d buy it again, but I’d probably still make the same changes.
