This frame is exactly what I was looking for - and believe me, I looked at dozens of frames, but I kept coming back to this one. It is a heavy-duty powder-coated metal - so it is built to last, in my opinion. That being said, it was a bit too heavy for me to maneuver the entire frame in the box. But, once I broke it open and carried it in parts, I was good. It was a breeze to put together - by myself, in less than 10 mins. Only four screws to put in - there is a little wrench that is provided, but I found that finger-tightening the nuts to the bolts was easier - actually everything fit together pretty sound and sturdy, didn't seem to be going anywhere without them. I also liked the idea of having the center support bar - feel much safer with it than I did with the 5 wooden slats on my old bed. The only concern I had was about the support legs (the ones in the middle of the head and foot rails of the frame w/ no gold ring): #1) don't tighten too tightly - once it got to where it needed that last "righty-tighty" I quit - it felt like it might strip back around? and #2) I noticed that after I put them on, the legs were not flush to the floor - my floors are uneven so I blamed that - but once the weight of the mattress and foundation (box springs) were added to the frame - the support legs did indeed hit the floor. Perfect fit for my full mattress - slid right in with no problems. I love the gliders - that is just what the bed does when I move it - it glides - easily, no noise, no scratches. The frame doesn't creak, "clunk" or shift when you get on the bed. I could go on.....one last thing, I have to say - I think the hardest thing about it all was getting it out of the box!!!
