It's beautiful. We've zero regrets. Keep in mind it's not an expensive frame... plan accordingly so that you don't mess up your upholstery (it's leather looking and soft butter leather feeling but I'm sure it's a pleather of some kind, certainly the answer is in the description) as you're putting it together. Be gentle and it'll be just fine. As for how solid it is or if it'll hold some weight... it's absolutely solid and will definitely hold at least up to the recommended weight. Myself, my husband, and our 12 year old daughter all 3 hang out and watch tv together on the bed, and not once have I thought it would fail us. We bought a 14inch mattress to go with it, it's perfect... the height of the headboard is adjustable so if you go with a smaller size it'll be perfect too. No boxspring needed, and you're not sitting on the floor or even too low without it either. ? It was very easy to follow directions... just be very mindful of the direction of things as you put them together and you should have no issues. 1 person could totally put this together if they're problem solvers, but 2 would get it done much faster and much easier, it will take some time to get together.
