Assembly was not that difficult and they separated the parts well enough so it was easy to find. The bed itself is cute. However it's meant more for a toddler. I bought it for my preteen we us tall and weighs about 120. After probably 2-3 days of having it my preteen went to sit down and the "supporting" wood broke. So that is why I say it's garbage. It can not withhold much weight so a toddler would work best.
