Simple metal frame, tapered metal legs, and wood slats. I like the fact that I can add a headboard later from a few of their styles. So far no squeaks. Seems good to meanI get that the platform shows how it looks when the frame and platform are all together BUT it’s slightly deceiving when the cover photo shows an entire bed not JUST the headboard. And duh, I should have read better. Oh well. Easy return.Ordered this headboard the first time and set it up. Looked nice but noticed it was rusted on one side when we began to clean it. Returned it and ordered a new one thinking this one probably wouldn’t be rusty and it arrives absolutely COVERED in rust. I read terrible reviews on this company and brand but decided to ignore them because the headboard matched my theme. Should’ve trusted the reviews.
