I ordered this for my elderly parents as their old bed frame was too high. Perfect height of 4 inches. Frame was sturdy and a middle piece was included.However, item arrived in a box that was severely damaged, one end was just horribly taped up. Holes were throughout the box. I seriously would have returned this item because of the shoddy packaging but my elderly parents needed it and it would have been a pain to return this to the UPS store by myself as they were not able to. There weren’t any instructions added (not that it was needed for me, but another person might find it useful to have). Wheels were shown in the picture, however mines came with none. Two other little little black peg pieces came with the packaging but I couldn’t figure out where they went so they weren’t added to my assembled bed frame.I bought this frame so my modern thick mattress would not block the view of my vintage headboard. The frame has very little adjustability, with one side held together with loose fitting keyhole slots and rivets, which fall apart with the slightest movement. It would not fit my Cal King mattress as it came. I drilled out the keyhole rivets and managed to bolt everything together to fit my foundation. The pictures showed it with wheels, but it has low profile plastic bumpers instead. The feet are on the small side, so it would be hard to move on carpet. The headboard mounts are low, so I had to drill new mounting holes in my headboard. Once everything is bolted, it is solid, but I think it would not be so as it came. If you are not handy with a drill, I would not buy this frame.There is no fastening capability for the middle bar to the frame other than just putting weight of mattress on to keep it stay in position which means once it is assembled, one could not move the frame , if you do the middle bar would come undone. Also I could not screw in my queen size headboard to this frame. So it is just standing against the wall. I will not purchase this frame again.It needs all four locking wheels my husband was transferring from wheelchair and it moved and he fell to floor. We have a wooden floor. We are looking into something to keep the wheels from moving.my MIL has fallen a few times out of her bed with her higher standard bed that is about 7 inch size.We either had to put her box frame on the floor or find a smaller bed frame. This is perfect, half the height of a standard bed frame. Much easier for her to get in and out of bed now that it is shorter and closer to the floor.Nice, sturdy frame and low to the ground as promised. Would have been perfect if it had come with the wheels! Yes, I bought the King size and it should have had wheels, not pegs (didn’t get those either) but wheels! The box was heavily retaped on both ends and the frame was scratched where it fits together, so clearly someone had attempted to assemble then returned- maybe because they were missing the wheels??? I am very disappointed, took my heavy bed apart and could not use this one. Even the distributor claims it does not come with wheels. Wrong! Too bad; nice, solid frame that is totally unusable unless I spend another $100 on wheels. If you can find a low frame like this from another distributor, buy from them.This company went far above and beyond. Out of the frame I ordered and they called me and offered an upgrade for same price and even put one together in their shop to make sure it was what I needed. It came super fast. It was easy to put together and very sturdy. 100% pleasedHad to lower my Mom's bed in memory care because she kept falling out of bed and hitting the floor . This was the perfect solution to lowering her bed by 4 inches . Mom doesn't fall out of bed anymore . Well built . Easy to set up
