The Maximize 604 and Relax 404 have the same upholstery, heavy duty frame, and head and foot tilt functionality—so what is the difference? The Maximize 604 features two main upgrades from the Relax 404: massage motors and two-piece legs. At the end of the day, choosing between the Maximize 604 and Relax 404 boils down to whether you want Maximize 604 for the massage actions and/or the ability to easily lower the height of your bed by detaching the two-piece legs. Should I get a split King adjustable? A split King adjustable is made by placing two Twin XL units side by side. Why would partners choose a split King mattress or adjustable? Usually the reason why is because they have different sleep preferences. One partner may prefer a subtle head tilt. The other partner may prefer the bed to be flat. Another reason for a split King is because one of the partners is fidgety and the separate mattresses help by isolating motion. How does the adjustable bed work? The head and foot sections of have individual lift and massage motors. Will an adjustable by The Bed Boss work with my current mattress? If your current mattress is 13 inches thick or less and of a memory foam or hybrid build, it should function perfectly with your new Bed Boss adjustable. Memory foam and hybrid mattresses work best because they are bendy. The Bed Boss offers a variety of mattresses that pair perfectly with adjustable bases. It is possible to use other mattresses with your adjustable, but please note thicker mattresses or mattresses of a different build may not flex as well with the base. Bought this for my dad he really likes it have massages option and you can move heads or bottom side up and down , it very heavy though but solid and good quality need at least two people for assembly, recommendedI did a lot of research before finally pulling the trigger on an adjustable base frame. I couldn’t afford to spends thousands of dollars on an adjustable base, and I was limited to online shopping due to the pandemic, so I was shopping the more affordable brands on amazon like iDeadBed, Blissful Nights, Classic Brands, etc. I was ready to pull the trigger on the iDealBed when I came across this BedBoss Maximize 604 and I’m so glad I found this BedBoss adjustable frame. It has all the same features of the comparable iDeadBed frame for cheaper, and it seems better built. I bought a full sized frame. The weight of the iDealBed was 78lbs. The BedBoss was 175+lbs. The steel frame seems very solid and well built. It uses good solid steel.I didn’t see it mentioned in the description (maybe I missed it), but this base does have the no-slip fabric to grip the mattress. It also has the retainer bar. It’s a nice heavy duty bar and it locks into place. I’ve has no issues with my mattress shifting, sliding, etc.I’ve only had the frame a few weeks now but so far I love it. It came shopped in 2 separate boxes/pieces, which made carrying it up to a 2nd floor bedroom much easier, and it will make any potential future moves easier as well. It was very easy to assemble. It even came with the wrench included (only tool required for me).The motors operate quietly and have no issues lifting me when paying in bed. The massage works well too. The massage motors are well mounted into the frame (a common complaint on the iDealBed amazon reviews was their massage motor mounts). I don’t have the thickest mattress (8”) so I can say for sure what it’d be like with a thicker mattress.The legs are well built and easy to adjust the height (another common complaint against iDealBed). They are 2 pieces. A longer leg and smaller leg. You can use the small legs alone, or the longer legs alone. Or you can use them screwed together for the tallest height.Oh and their customer service has been fantastic! Quick to respond and always very friendly + helpful. Props to Chris at BedBoss.When I recieved it I immediately noticed a part that was sticking outside the box throught the cardboard. I didn’t really thinking anything of it, it didn’t look damaged, but upon unveiling all the parts I noticed it was missing one square rubber foot on that exact square rod that was sticking through, luckily that part doesn’t actually touch the ground while you’re using the cylindrical legs, but it would be an issue if I wanted the frame to lie low profile to the floor without the cylindrical legs. The second thing I noticed when unveiling all the part was that the additional circular feet included seemed to mostly all be broken. I wasn’t planning to use the spare feet any time soon, but they were also an option if I wanted to shorten the height of the legs as well. So with that said I only have one option of height for the bed as it stands, which I suppose is alright for now. It works well so far, the massage is a bit weaker than I expecting however the incline and adjustability is awesome. Assembling it wasn’t very difficult at all and the plugs came color coded and mostly only match up to their exact input which all create for a good set up. Everything can be set up by the use of your hands and one included wrench which is nice, I was able to do it all on my own with the exception of flipping and placing the frame back up in the correct position in my room. I overall enjoy the product, I just wish it came with more spare parts or that it was just packaged better to begin with so nothing would break or fall out.Update, I was able to recieve a few new spare parts for the frame in a quickly manner, not all of them strangely, but they sent some complimentary items and apologized for the inconvenience so all in all a good experience with the bed frame, I’ve had no other issues regarding it and it functions as intended.I’ve priced many adjustable bases from the big named companies and I felt they were all over priced. I started looking on amazon for an alternative route and more reasonable priced. After reading through reviews on the ones I felt fit my needs the most, I had narrowed it down to this one. It came in 2 huge boxes, I was able to slide them into my living room, lay them flat and u box them. I did watch the YouTube instruction video before I unboxed everything, just so I knew what each part was. I was able to assemble it by myself, if you follow the video, everything is very easy. It fit perfectly in my existing headboard frame. It works really great! I have a purple mattress on it, and to be able to lift my head and feet up while watching tv, it’s really comfortable. The motor noise isn’t as bad as it may seem, it’s a very low smooth noise that you start to cancel out as you continue to use it more. The vibration option is a really nice feature. It’s a very subtle vibration that doesn’t seem to do hardly anything, but the more you use it and just lay and relax, it is a callow subtle calming -vibration effect that you can definitely feel. I think my cat enjoys it too because he will sleep near the vibrations when it’s on! Just don’t think you’re getting a heavy massaging bed because that’s definitely not the case. Your mattress may also impact the effects, I’m not quite sure, but like I said I have a purple mattress, so that’s my experience with this frame. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a cheaper alternative for this type of base, I think it is well worth the price!
