I needed to replace my aging futon mattress with a new one,but I realized that only one local store actually carried futon mattresses anymore. The local store had three options,but I realized that the most expensive one was terrible for the money. It had springs in it and I could feel the springs almost immediately. I found all of the good reviews on Amazon for this memory foam one,so I decided to try it out. I'm not disappointed so far. I'm using it with just one padded mattress pad underneath and it's great. Very firm,but it folds down to a bed easily,because it's actually two seperate pieces of foam inside of the casing.My old futon has been given new life! The materials (memory foam and high density foam) used on this mattress were far superior to the polyester fill and may layers of egg crate foam so many other mattresses on amazon offered. It's so soft and comfortable on the top, yet firm in support when you lay down. It bends nicely to make the couch cushion and is comfortable to sit on It puffed up to it's natural size so quickly after removing it from the shipping box. It is so very much lighter than my old futon mattress.We got this mattress for our guest bedroom and it has been a huge hit! It came in an unbelievably small box for a mattress but it unrolled and decompressed super quickly. Both heavier and lighter guests have found it super comfortable and I find myself napping on it too. It's great for just sitting and reading too but be careful you don't nod off!I love everything about this mattress! The outer material is super soft and strong and the foam supports you perfectly without any pressure points. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a superb futon mattress!Never buy the old heavyweight cotton mattresses. These foam mattresses are so much better. It used to take 2 people to maneuver my old heavy one. Which was a lumpy compacted nasty thing to work with. This new foam mattress is the greatest. Light, soft, and just firm enough to support you nicely.This is the third futon mattress I have tried in the past few weeks, and this one is the winner. It's only been here one day so not completely fluffed up, but I have sat on it, and I have laid on it. I didn't want to get up. Very well made, including the smooth soft cover. Very comfortable.If you want a comfortable futon mattress, this is the one to get! My only wish is that there was more choices of colors, otherwise it's perfect!!What can I say?Shopping on the internet without benefit of touching and seeing the very thing yourself? So you go by the reviews and some prior knowledge.Oh let me tell you! This one is worth it! Been ripped off before on claims of a true memory foam mattress. This is the real thing. Price is great as i have seen same thing in stores for $299 without delivery.
