This bed is very sturdy. It took my husband about four hours to put together. The only issue I had was the trundle bed was a twin, not a full. That turned out to be ok since I didn't have room for the full size. Actually, they don't make one. The front piece for the trundle was scratched pretty badly. I contacted Amazon and they were going to send me an entire new bed! I explained that I didn't need the whole bed and I would refuse it if they delivered it. Amazon suggested I contact Atlantic Furniture directly, which I did. They were very responsive and shipped out a new piece the same day. The top bunk is a little hard to make but it held me while I made it! Be aware of what size mattress you have for the top bunk. There has to be enough room so the person sleeping up there doesn't fall out! It looks beautiful; just like the picture. I know my grandkids will spend many a night here having a blast sleeping on it!
