The only thing negative I have to say is that some of the futon slats do fall out on the bottom. Half just rest inside the other tube without screws, I may have to secure them better. I had to fix after the bottom was used. The ladder is a little hard to navigate for my 8year old at night, so I added another bed bunk ladder that hooks to the side that works better instead of the foot
