There was a sight delay because of Covid but it was only a couple of weeks which I found acceptable under the circumstances. A representative called when they received the order to tell me of the delay and ask if I still wanted the beds delivered which I found to be extremely considerate as many companies don't make the effort.When I received the bed I set it up as triple bunks. Then I gave it the ultimate test by having great 8 grandchildren between the ages of 3-13 come visit for the weekend.They did their best to climb, jump, crawl, and misbehave on the beds and were unable to do any damage whatsoever.That was a month ago and they have visited each weekend w/o being able to cause any damage. If the beds stand up to these 8 then the beds will stand up to anything!!!!This product was packaged very well. Initially, I was doubtful because of the condition of the box (shipping companies tender care...) - i was thinking something might be missing to my surprise nothing was. The product itself is excellent the only thing I added was grip tape to the ladder for added support climbing the ladder for kids that love to wear socks the paint on the parts is super smooth. Note the bunk bed frame works well with twin beds 7-10"...I kind of pushed it using a 12" mattress, wouldn't really recommend but I got a great deal on my mattresses. I can say a twin xl might fit as well...there were a total of 4in or so gap after I place the my mattresses in.Thankfully I have a basic knowledge of woodworking because none of the parts included in this set were drilled correctly to accommodate the pegs or hardware required to build it. Once all that extra labor was out of the way, you have to actually assemble it which, thanks to the crappy instructions and the even crappier packaging of hardware, was a monumental pain. The biggest issue with how the set actually ended up out of the box was that the slats for each bed are literally 1" x 1" sticks, some were 2" wide but none of the slats were consistently cut and two of them weren't even long enough to sit on the rail precariously as the others did. I had to buy wood to fashion my own slats for both of the top bunks before I was satisfied that my kids wouldn't fall through each of the beds and crush each other. Oh, and buy a liner, some dark fabric with stars on it makes all the difference in establishing this as a space to sleep and keeping wood splinters from falling into your kids' eyes.We bought this for our very adventurous ( and tough I might add) boy! He is obsessed with slides and we were really excited about the slide. Sadly the lip at the end of the slide hurts the kids when they go down. We have tried multiple solutions (pool noodle, homemade pad, and other things to soften the landing) but none of them have helped. My husband luckily is a carpenter and will remake the slide but definitely disappointed. Especially with the price of the bed.I had really high hopes for this bed but I'm constantly reminded that it is cheaply made! Another piece just broke as my kid was climbing it which is incident number 2 since purchasing! It's very dangerous if you ask me!Love it , strong and excellent quality my kids love their new bedLove
